Jason Alexander Directs ‘Til Death’

Not only does Seinfeld alum Jason Alexander direct the first fresh ‘Til Death episode on February 14, but former Blossom star Mayim Bialik (pictured in the second photo below) guest stars on the second episode, along with returning players and real-life couple Kevin Nealon and Susan Yeagley.

First up at 7pm ET is Alexander’s masterpiece “Snore Loser,” featuring Season Three regular JB Smoove as the StarKs’ friend Kenny.

If the title caused you to guess that Eddie is the one with the snoring problem, then you are correct. However, his sleep apnea comes with a little twist: when treatment helps end the snoring, poor Joy suddenly realizes that the nighttime noise actually helped her sleep. What’s a wife to do now in the face of so much distracting silence?

Mayim Bialik/'Til Death 4.13

Next at 7:30pm is “The Break-Up,” featuring the return of spouses Nealon and Yeagley as seemingly perfect on-screen married couple Stephen and Simona.

That picture of perfection is about to seriously change after Stephen and Simona get into a huge fight that leads them to split up. Unfortunately, Eddie and Joy’s attempts to intervene and reunite the couple don’t produce the hoped-for results.

Meanwhile, the silly living-in-a-sitcom plot continues with Doug, who finally seeks professional help from a psychiatrist (Bialik), at his wife Ally’s insistence, to help restore his sanity. I can tell you now the first visit(s) probably won’t be the charm since Bialik reprises her role later in another episode.

‘Til Death airs Sundays on Fox at 7pm.

Kevin Nealon Guest Stars on Next ‘Til Death’

Fox presents two fresh episodes of ‘Til Death on Sunday, February 7: “The Not-So-Perfect Couple” at 7pm ET and “Independent Action” at 7:30pm.

Brad Garrett, Susan Yeagley/'Til Death 4.10

The first episode up is extra special because it features Saturday Night Live veteran Kevin Nealon and his real-life wife Susan Yeagley (The Sarah Silverman Program, pictured at right above) as guest stars.

The real couple plays fictional couple Simona, a doctor, and Stephen, whom Eddie takes a major liking to after Joy encourages him to seek Simona’s medical services.

As expected, however, Joy comes to regret her initial actions when Eddie begins to think that Simona and Stephen are the perfect couple and starts following Simona’s advice about things that Joy has been telling him forever.

So, to set her husband straight, Joy becomes determined to prove that S&S aren’t all that darn perfect. Look forward to seeing more Nealon and Yeagley later in the season when they reprise their roles on another episode.

During the following episode, “Independent Action,” Eddie and Joy realize they have very different interests after he goes to their yearly baseball game alone.

Meanwhile, Ally and Doug start a mini catastrophe when their efforts to save one tree leads to the entire neighborhood getting hit with an epidemic of tree disease.

‘Til Death airs Sundays on Fox at 7pm.

‘Til Death’ Moves to Sundays at 7pm on January 31

It hasn’t aired since the Christmas Day marathon last month, but on January 31, the Fox sitcom ‘Til Death moves into its new Sunday-night time slot with two fresh episodes.

Joely Fisher, Brad Garrett/'Til Death

From that day until Fox relocates it again (or cancels it), the comedy will air at 7pm ET.

First up on the last day of January is “Joy’s Out of Work” from 7pm to 7:30pm. While Joy is busy putting her natural assets to good use when she’s forced to visit the Unemployment Office after losing her job at the travel agency, Eddie treats Doug to a meal at his favorite restaurant.

Next at 7:30pm is “Hi Def TV.” Joy decides to let loose with her spending when Eddie goes and purchases a brand-new high-definition television without telling her first. But worst of all is poor Doug, who’s stupid enough to begin thinking he’s living his life on a TV sitcom. Duh!

‘Til Death moves from Fridays at 8:30pm ET to Sundays at 7pm on January 31.

‘Til Death: Christmas Marathon Photos

Happy holidays, my fellow sitcom lovers. Tomorrow is Christmas Day, of course, which means it’s almost time for the four-episode, primetime ‘Til Death marathon on Fox.

Brad Garrett/'Til Death

Since the episodes are all leftovers from the comedy’s second and third seasons, viewers will be spending time with the likes of J.B. Smoove’s Kenny instead of beloved Jeff and Steph Woodcock from the freshman season and the Starks’ daughter and son-in-law Ally and Doug from the current fourth season.

Preview the lineup below in a few photos, and for spoilers, check out the previous post “Fox Schedules ‘Til Death’ Christmas Day Marathon.”

Fox Schedules ‘Til Death’ Christmas Day Marathon

If you’ve been wondering whatever happened to the elusive Fox sitcom ‘Til Death, which is currently in its fourth season, wonder no more. After yet another prolonged absence, this one lasting just over two months, the comedy will return on Christmas Day for a two-hour, four-episode marathon.

Joely Fisher, Brad Garrett/'Til Death

According to Fox’s current schedule, the “Christmas present” will feature four brand-new episodes originally from the show’s second and third seasons: “No Complaints” at 8pm ET, “The Courtship of Eddie’s Parents” at 8:30pm, “The Ex-Factor” at 9pm, and “The Buffer” at 9:30pm.

Continue reading for some spoilers for each episode.

No Complaints: During this Christmas-themed episode from the third season, Eddie learns that hiding his feelings makes him physically sick when he and Joy try to quit lying for good. Kenny (J.B. Smoove) is back, too, and he creates all kinds of problems for the kiddies’ parents when he lands a a gig at the mall portraying Santa Claus.

The Courtship of Eddie’s Parents: Mary Tyler Moore veteran Valerie Harper and Rescue Me cast member Jerry Adler guest star as Eddie’s parents Barbara and Al in this unaired episode from the Season Two lineup. Eddie and Joy journey all the way to Florida to visit them and are shocked to learn they’re getting divorced … so that they can acquire medical insurance. Of course, Eddie is against it, and he tries to persuade his mom not to follow through.

The Ex-Factor: Kenny is back for another third-season episode, which features Joy befriending a former girlfriend of Eddie, something that predictably leads to problems. Also, Kenny must cope with the possibility that his own new girlfriend is taking advantage of him when he babysits her children.

The Buffer: In yet another Season Three episode, Kenny moves in with the Starks after his ex-wife kicks him to the curb, and to Eddie’s great surprise, he realizes that Joy is nicer when Kenny is in the house. So, of course, Eddie tries to get Kenny to stay longer, but Joy actually has issues with his bad habits and does her best to reunite him with his ex.

‘Brothers’ and ‘Til Death’ Take a Brief Break

Friday-night Fox sitcoms Brothers and ‘Til Death are taking the day off on October 16, thanks to Major League Baseball and the first game of the American League Championship Series.

But never fear, fans. Both comedies will return with fresh episodes on October 23, same time, same channel. Or at least that’s what the network is saying right now.

‘Til Death: ‘Separate Beds’ Photos

The Starks make it personal — as in “personal space” — on the new October 9 episode of ‘Til Death all about “Separate Beds.”

Joely Fisher, Brad Garrett/'Til Death 4.02

Tired of each others’ annoying, sleep-depriving nighttime habits, Joy and Eddie decide to invest in separate, twin-sized beds.

And if that’s not enough grief for Eddie — who’s kind of tall to be trying to sleep in a tiny bed, if you haven’t noticed — there’s also the discovery that the new principal at his school just happens to be a former student of his.

‘Til Death: Season Four Premiere Photos

Fox’s ‘Til Death opens its fourth season on October 2 with the premiere “Doug and Ally Return.”

Timm Sharp, Linsdey Broad, Brad Garrett, Joely Fisher/'Til Death

The first thing longtime viewers might notice about the show is that Season Three regular J.B. Smoove, who played Eddie Stark’s overgrown “little brother” Kenny, is gone.

New to the cast are Lindsey Broad (The Burg), who replaces Breaking Bad’s Krysten Ritter as the Starks’ only child Ally, and Timm Sharp (Undeclared) as Ally’s new husband Doug Von Stuessen.

During the season premiere, Eddie and Joy get the surprise of their life when Ally returns from a trip to the Ecuadorian rain forest with her new husband in tow. After the newlyweds park their trailer-slash-home in the Starks’ backyard, they end up interfering with Eddie’s goal of installing a Jacuzzi. And, of course, neither parent likes Doug, so they have to try as hard as they can to accept him into the family anyway.
