Sherri Shepherd’s Lifetime Show Has a Premiere Date

Lifetime made the big announcement this week. The network’s latest original comedy, Sherri, starring The View co-host and occasional 30 Rock guest star Sherri Shepherd, will premiere on Monday, October 5, at 7pm ET.

Sherri Shepherd

Sherri follows the hectic life of the title character, a recently divorced mother, paralegal, and part-time actress and comedienne. Eager to resume her life and return to dating following the end of her marriage to a no-good cheater, Sherri relies on her girlfriends at work as a source of support and comfort.

The newcomer will pair up with the sophomore Lifetime original comedy Rita Rocks, which stars King of Queens alumna Nicole Sullivan. That sitcom will air immediately afterward on Mondays at 7:30pm ET.

Sherri is the first ever series that Lifetime owns entirely, and the network has ordered 12 half-hour episodes thus far for the first season.
