Brothers: ‘Mike’s Comeback’ Photos

The Fox sitcom Brothers has a new episode and a new time slot coming up on November 8. That day’s installment called “Mike’s Comeback” marks the rookie comedy’s official move from Fridays at 8pm ET to Sundays at 7pm ET.

When Mike gets a chance to play again in the NFL, he assumes his financial problems may also end soon. Yeah, right!

Unfortunately for him, the only we he can return to active duty is if he passes a physical scheduled in just two weeks. So, with not much time to prepare, he relies on his dad Coach and brother Chill to help him get back in shape.

Elsewhere, Adele butts her nose where it doesn’t belong, namely in the business of a student who decides to pursue a career as a professional baseball player.

It’s Time for ‘The Wanda Sykes Show’

Emmy-winning New Adventures of Old Christine star Wanda Sykes has a brand-new self-titled late-night talk show launching on Fox at 11pm ET on Saturday, November 7.

Keith Robinson, Wanda Sykes/The Wanda Sykes Show

Billed as “irreverent,” The Wanda Sykes Show is a weekly hourlong series featuring the comedian, actress, and author as host. Each episode will include her personal and unique opinion about the latest events in a variety of areas, such as pop culture and politics, along with both comedy and location segments.

Lending a hand are Keith Robinson (pictured above at left) as Sykes’ sidekick, in addition to an ongoing group of panelists that will include regular visitors, Sykes’ well-known friends, and unlikely surprise guests.

And, never fear: the new weekend series is a moonlighting gig for Sykes. That means you can still catch her on episodes of the CBS sitcom The New Adventures of Old Christine, which currently airs Wednesdays at 8pm ET.

Brothers: ‘Meet Mike Trainor/Assistant Coach’ Photos

Fox’s Brothers has a biggie coming up. The new October 23 episode “Meet Mike Trainor/Assistant Coach” features no less than three guest stars: Kim Kardashian (pictured below), Access Hollywood’s Nancy O’Dell, and Bruce Springsteen E Street Band saxophonist Clarence Clemons, all playing themselves.

During the episode, Coach fires his son Chill as assistant coach after their high school football team loses a game in a most embarrassing manner. However, worst of all for Chill, Coach then asks Mike for help coming up with some new, improved plays.

Elsewhere, the latest hostess at Trainor’s restaurant attracts the attention of O’Dell and Kardashian after she spreads gossip to promote the restaurant and bring in new customers. Both women show up, and Kardashian is determined to set the record straight about the rumors.

Another New Sunday ‘Brothers’: Commercial/Coach DMV

Fox is doing it again. Although a Major League Baseball game preempted the regularly scheduled Friday Brothers on October 16, the network is making up for it with a fresh episode called “Commercial/Coach DMV” on Sunday, October 18, at 7pm ET.

Will Sasso, Michael Strahan/Brothers 1.06

The episode features guest star Will Sasso (MADtv, pictured above and below at left), who plays Anthony “Avalanche” Carter, a former NFL rival of lead character Mike.

Poor Mike has a hard time of it after his agent lands him two on-camera opportunities for extra money, one involving post-game commentary with Avalanche and the other a commercial promo with Adele. However, the seemingly fortunate gigs don’t go as well as hoped when Mike realizes that both Avalanche and Adele are difficult people to work with on-screen.

Elsewhere, Coach encounters problems renewing his driver’s license, prompting shrewd Chill to bend over backwards to help him pass the test so he won’t end up chauffeuring his father everywhere.

Sneak a quick peek at the Sunday episode in the photos below. The second one includes Sopranos alum Steve Schirripa, who guest stars as Mike’s agent Louie.

But never fear, fans. Both comedies will return with fresh episodes on October 23, same time, same channel. Or at least that’s what the network is saying right now.

Brothers: Special ‘Lenny’ Sunday Episode

If you haven’t already heard, Fox is presenting a special Sunday-night broadcast of its newest sitcom Brothers at 7pm ET on October 11.

Michael Strahan, Mike Tyson/Brothers 1.05

Called “Lenny,” the episode features guest stars Tichina Arnold (Everybody Hates Chris) as Adele’s sister Cynthia, Lenny Clark (Rescue Me) as Cynthia’s annoying husband Lenny of the title, and Mike Tyson in a cameo as himself.

When Cynthia and Lenny pay the Trainor household a visit, Adele begs her husband Coach to play nice.

Meanwhile, Mike and Chill get a visit of their own at the restaurant when retired professional boxer Tyson shows up unexpectedly looking for money Mike owes him.

And if that’s not enough tension, the brothers also end up competing with each other for the attention of Mike’s old high-school flame Amara (Danielle Nicolet, The Starter Wife) when she also stops by out of the blue.

‘Til Death: ‘Separate Beds’ Photos

The Starks make it personal — as in “personal space” — on the new October 9 episode of ‘Til Death all about “Separate Beds.”

Joely Fisher, Brad Garrett/'Til Death 4.02

Tired of each others’ annoying, sleep-depriving nighttime habits, Joy and Eddie decide to invest in separate, twin-sized beds.

And if that’s not enough grief for Eddie — who’s kind of tall to be trying to sleep in a tiny bed, if you haven’t noticed — there’s also the discovery that the new principal at his school just happens to be a former student of his.

He plays the title siblings’ cousin Kenny, a questionable attorney who supposedly specializes in debt and fraud.

Mike and Chill hire him to track down the business manager who stole all of Mike’s money, now considered “laundered assets,” when he was still living in New York. However, when Kenny only manages to locate funds donated to a children’s charity, Mike must make a tough decision.

Meanwhile, the brothers’ parents Coach and Adele tram up to help an overweight kid pass gym class.

Extra Dose of ‘Brothers’ Coming This Sunday

Freshman multi-camera sitcom Brothers isn’t doing so swell ratings-wise, but that’s not stopping Fox from airing a fresh episode on Sunday, October 11, at 7pm ET, in addition to the regularly scheduled episode for Friday, October 9.

Daryl ''Chill'' Mitchell, Michael Strahan/Brothers

According to The Futon Critic, the weekend installment, called “Lenny,” replaces an encore episode of the animated series Family Guy.

Better still for comedy fans, the episode features three notable guest stars: longtime Rescue Me cast member Lenny Clark and retired professional boxer Mike Tyson, as well as very-much-missed former Everybody Hates Chris star Tichina Arnold. She alone makes the special Sunday broadcast Must-See TV.

Stay tuned to Comedy Centric for more details about both episodes of Brothers airing this week.
