Cougar Town: ‘You Wreck Me’ Preview

It’s all about golf on “You Wreck Me,” Cougar Town’s new October 21 episode.

Courteney Cox/Cougar Town

Actually, poor Jules comes to regret having set up a mercy golf game between her ex-husband Bobby and her neighbor Grayson to give Bobby a self-esteem boost when the men bond just a little too much.

Meanwhile, Laurie suddenly decides it’s time to prove to Jules that she has the professional goods, and she ends up surprising herself also when she takes on a new client.

Check out a little tongue-us interruptus in the following sneak peek featuring Jules, her current boyfriend Josh, and her son Travis. Travis sure has a knack for surprising his mom with his presence at exactly the wrong time. Good boy.

Cougar Town airs Wednesdays on ABC at 9:30pm ET.

Cougar Town: ‘I Won’t Back Down’ Preview

Jules takes on a most interesting project during “I Won’t Back Down,” the October 14 episode of ABC’s funny Courteney Cox sitcom Cougar Town.

Courteney Cox/Cougar Town

After she makes the big mistake of telling Grayson he’s hot (it’s a mistake because he doesn’t return the compliment), Jules makes it her mission to force him to say that she’s sexy out loud. Good luck, girl!

Meanwhile, Jules’ best friend Ellie frets that she’s no longer attractive after giving birth to Stan, and Jules’ ex-husband Bobby and their son Travis struggle to find something they share in common.

Preview the episode below in two promos and a sneak peek, the last featuring Travis appearing out of nowhere while Jules, Ellie, and Laurie are busy watching Jules’ sex tape made when she was a much more adventurous 19 years old. Aliens in America alum Dan Byrd, who plays Travis, has his weary teen role down pat.

Full Seasons for ABC Wednesday-Night Sitcom Newbies

ABC proved today it’s a very, very, very smart network when it announced via Twitter that rookie half-hour comedies Cougar Town, Modern Family, and The Middle have all been awarded a full season of 22 episodes. Nice! The three series definitely deserve the vote of confidence.

Patricia Heaton

And note that Yours Truly (meaning me) called it recently when I noted the apparent lack of enthusiasm for the one remaining sitcom in that two-hour block: Kelsey Grammer’s surprisingly unfunny Hank. Nary a mention of that comedy was made during today’s excellent news, but let’s see what the future brings.

Cougar Town: ‘Into the Great Wide Open’ Preview

Poor Jules. On “Into the Great Wide Open,” the September 30 episode of ABC’s entertaining new comedy Cougar Town, the divorced mother with a great sense of humor continues her quest to breathe some life into her existence.

Courteney Cox/Cougar Town

While she finally took the plunge and hooked up with a much younger guy on the September 23 premiere, now she focuses her attention on partying hearty with a bunch of twentysomethings … against the (wise) advice of her fellow fortysomething BFF Ellie.

Sneak a peek at the episode in the following Rookie clip, which shows what happens when Jules and her other friend Laurie hit the booze. Wild times in Cougar Town!
